I am a 22 year old male third year law student in Florida.

I started experiencing symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome ("IBS") during my freshman year of college, at the age of 17. I am about 5'9" tall and, at that time, weighed about 160-165 lbs. When I became symptomatic I lost about 20-25 lbs. This was during a 7 month period. My parents and friends were worried sick.

My symptoms included severe bloating; gas pains so intense I had to be hospitalized one because I thought I was having kidney problems; loose, oily stools; and a number of other embarrassing symptoms of IBS. Two years later, my girlfriend convinced me to go see a doctor. After numerous tests, he diagnosed me with IBS. He prescribed various prescription medications and I tried some non-prescription remedies, such as yoga and exercise. None of it helped and I was still having trouble keeping weight on, not to mention the fact that nothing relieved my other symptoms.

In the Spring of 2001, everything changed. My father told me about an ad that he had seen in the newspaper for something called Ibsacol. I was hesitant to order it, especially since it was from a website in a foreign country. However, I could only hesitate so long before my symptoms got the better of me. Within a few weeks, my gas pains were gone. There was no more bloating or running to the bathroom. I even started to gain weight. The best part was, I experienced no side effects.

That was almost two years ago. I now weigh about 175 pounds, I feel healthier, and no longer worry about always being close to a bathroom or running out of toilet paper because I have to "go" so often. There are still times when I become symptomatic again. However, they usually coincide with events where my normal schedule is disturbed which places additional stress on me. When that happens I usually just take a couple of extra pills and I'm fine. As a law student, the Editor-in-Chief of a law journal, and a law clerk in the litigation department of a private law firm, I have so many things going on at one time that, without Ibsacol, I would be unable to meet any deadlines. Ibsacol has made me normal again!!
