I was diagnosed with IBS in 1992, although did not begin to experience persistent problems with it until 1997.

I was working full-time and needed to get on a crowded motorway at 7.15am every morning to make it to work on time. IBS soon saw to it that this didn't happen too often. At one stage I was having problems at least 3 mornings a week. Luckily my boss was sympathetic, but many would not have put up with this.

I began taking Metamucil, which was helpful, but not a complete cure. The frequency of the attacks reduced to about one a fortnight. But I could always be sure if I had to be at work on time for something important, that would be the morning I'd have problems.

I tried giving up different foods. Cheese, one of my favourites, seemed to set things off. Then it was ice-cream. Then it was my evening glass of wine….

I tried every natural remedy I could find - acidophilus, slippery elm, magnesium, aloe vera, etc, etc. It cost me a fortune and had no noticeable effect. Plus I rattled when I walked!

About July 2000 I saw an advert for Ibsacol in a magazine. I was really sceptical, having wasted hundreds of dollars on pills already. However, I was also desperate, so I spoke with Dianne and decided to order some on a trial basis.

I noticed a difference after about a week, but didn't believe it. Since I'd had good weeks before, I put it down to a coincidence. After two weeks I was still fine, but unconvinced that it was the Ibsacol. After 4 weeks I had to admit that it was working.

Now bad days are a rarity, and I have reduced my dose from 16 to 6 capsules a day. Ibsacol has basically given me back a normal life again, and saved me money, as one bottle lasts a month. I have also had fewer colds since beginning the course, which is a bonus!

I would recommend Ibsacol to anyone who has IBS and wants help. I can't believe the difference it has made to me.
